Wellesley
Pittsburgh Remodeling Company is incredibly fortunate to have been a part of this major renovation of a Highland Park home. And what a major renovation it was! This project included a major kitchen remodel, master bathroom remodel, some aesthetic bathroom remodeling on the third floor, we added a powder room to the first floor and built an addition on the back of the house. Our work also included:
- Complete demolition of the existing kitchen, existing addition and master bathroom
- We built a new slab-on-grade addition with radiant hydronic heat in the slab
- Tied new white oak flooring into the original, and refinished the entire first floor
- We ran new plumbing, electric and heating throughout all three floors of the home
- We installed new custom cabinets, soapstone and quartz counters, marble herringbone back-splash and all new appliances
- Installed new Eagle windows and doors
- Our work included several structural modifications to the home; we installed two load bearing beams flush in the ceiling as well as changed two structural masonry openings
- Major air sealing throughout the house, including spraying closed-cell urethane foam in the addition
- We also painted a substantial amount of the interior of the home
Note: we’ll get some good final pictures of the addition from the outside after the landscaping work is completed, spring of 2016.
