We recently had the pleasure of updating this master bathroom. In order to achieve a more open feel, we removed a water closet and upgraded the shower from a 36"x36" fiberglass one-piece unit to the barrier free awesome-shower you see here. We also replaced the door to the bathroom with a wider french door.Photographer's note: I shot these photos on a cloudy day in incandescent light. The white balance was really tricky to nail down! A lot of people have asked, "which is the most accurate representation of the tile color." To which I reply, "Edward-5.jpg is probably the truest color."...

Many of the rooms of this century-old Highland Park home had been immaculately preserved, except for the master bathroom. After a full tear-out and extensive mechanical updates, we installed a large steam shower and separate water closet. A traditional spindle-legged ceramic console sink, marble shower tile and hexagon floor tile complete the look. A medicine cabinet was built on site using repurposed wood from the home....
