This major kitchen remodel included a total tearout and rebuild, including all new wiring, plumbing, insulation, drywall and flooring. Pittsburgh Remodeling Company is incredibly fortunate to have been a part of this major renovation of a Highland Park home. And what a major renovation it was! This project included a major kitchen remodel, master bathroom remodel, some aesthetic bathroom remodeling on the third floor, we added a powder room to the first floor and built an addition on the back of the house. Pittsburgh Remodeling Company worked with our clients to remove a wall in their Mt. Lebanon kitchen and reconfigure the floor-plan to better accommodate their growing family. Our project was a major structural renovation and our work involved:Moving an exterior doorway and a window in house with brick exterior. Installing new white oak flooring in the kitchen to match the rest of the first floor, then refinishing the entire first floor. Insulating a previously un-insulated crawlspace and porch, as well as the rest of the kitchen. Installing new cabinets and counters (quartz by the sink, butcher block around the range).White cabinets with grey quartz counters contrast the blue cabinets with butcher block around the stove. We turned an adjacent side porch into a much more functional space for the fridge...

We helped our clients to add a single story master suite addition to their historic Pittsburgh home. Our clients have owned and occupied this house for over 50 years, and their goal for the project was to create space so they could age comfortably in their home. We recently had the pleasure of updating this master bathroom. In order to achieve a more open feel, we removed a water closet and upgraded the shower from a 36"x36" fiberglass one-piece unit to the barrier free awesome-shower you see here.  We also replaced the door to the bathroom with a wider french door.Photographer's note: I shot these photos on a cloudy day in incandescent light. The white balance was really tricky to nail down! A lot of people have asked, "which is the most accurate representation of the tile color." To which I reply, "Edward-5.jpg is probably the truest color."...

Many of the rooms of this century-old Highland Park home had been immaculately preserved, except for the master bathroom.  After a full tear-out and extensive mechanical updates, we installed a large steam shower and separate water closet.  A traditional spindle-legged ceramic console sink, marble shower tile and hexagon floor tile complete the look.  A medicine cabinet was built on site using repurposed wood from the home....

These clients loved almost every other room of their home, but wanted a master bathroom that was more expressive of their tastes.  Custom double vanity cabinets, split faced stone and varying width course floor tile are just a few of the elements they used to make the space their own.  We added finishing touches like a heated towel rack, accent tile and a chandelier hanging from the vaulted ceiling....
