Our clients have owned and occupied this house for over 50 years, and their goal for the project was to create space so they could age comfortably in their home. We recently had the pleasure of updating this master bathroom. In order to achieve a more open feel, we removed a water closet and upgraded the shower from a 36"x36" fiberglass one-piece unit to the barrier free awesome-shower you see here.  We also replaced the door to the bathroom with a wider french door.Photographer's note: I shot these photos on a cloudy day in incandescent light. The white balance was really tricky to nail down! A lot of people have asked, "which is the most accurate representation of the tile color." To which I reply, "Edward-5.jpg is probably the truest color."...

Many of the rooms of this century-old Highland Park home had been immaculately preserved, except for the master bathroom.  After a full tear-out and extensive mechanical updates, we installed a large steam shower and separate water closet.  A traditional spindle-legged ceramic console sink, marble shower tile and hexagon floor tile complete the look.  A medicine cabinet was built on site using repurposed wood from the home....
